  • Retirement coaching is a collaborative process designed to help you prepare for and navigate one of life's biggest transitions. While many people spend years planning financially for retirement, retirement coaching focuses on the personal side of retirement—things like identity, purpose, lifestyle, relationships, routines, well-being, fulfillment, and how you want to spend your time.

Together, we'll explore what matters most to you and create a thoughtful blueprint for the next chapter of your life.

  • Financial preparation is an essential part of retirement. Retirement coaching builds on that foundation by helping you intentionally design the life you want to create after work.

While financial advisors help clients prepare for the financial realities and opportunities of retirement, retirement coaching focuses on helping people clarify how they want to live, spend their time, strengthen relationships, cultivate purpose, and make the most of the years ahead.

In many ways, the two approaches complement one another. A strong financial plan can provide the resources for retirement. Retirement coaching helps you intentionally design and build a life that makes the most of those resources. Together, they can help create a retirement that is not only financially secure, but also meaningful, fulfilling, and enjoyable.

  • Retirement coaching may be a good fit if you're asking questions like:

    • What do I want this next chapter of life to look like?

    • How do I want to spend my time?

    • Who am I beyond my career or previous roles?

    • What will give my life purpose and meaning in retirement?

    • How can I make the most of the years ahead?

You don't have to be struggling to benefit from retirement coaching. Many of my clients are proactive planners who want to approach retirement with intention rather than simply hoping everything falls into place. Others come because retirement has been more challenging than expected and they're ready to create a new path forward.

  • Retirement coaching can be valuable at any stage of the journey. Some people seek coaching before retirement to prepare for the transition ahead. Others come shortly after retiring as they adjust to a new rhythm of life. And some have been retired for years and are ready to reimagine what this chapter could become.

Wherever you are in the process, the years ahead still deserve thoughtful attention.

  • Not at all. Many people assume retirement should naturally fall into place over time. When it doesn't, they may spend years waiting for things to improve on their own. The good news is that meaningful change is possible at any stage of retirement.

If you know there's more available than what you've experienced so far—more purpose, connection, enjoyment, adventure, fulfillment, or direction—retirement coaching can help you intentionally create it. The years ahead still matter.

  • Absolutely. Retirement often affects both partners, even when only one person is retiring. Many couples find that retirement raises important questions about time, roles, expectations, communication, lifestyle, and how they want to spend this next chapter together.

Coaching can provide a structured space to explore those conversations, align around shared goals, and create a vision for retirement that honors both individuals and the relationship.

  • No. Retirement coaching and therapy serve different purposes.

Retirement coaching is focused on helping you clarify your vision for retirement, identify priorities, create goals, and develop a plan for moving forward. The work is centered on helping you intentionally design and build the retirement you want.

Retirement coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health diagnosis or treatment.

  • Coaching sessions provide dedicated time to slow down, reflect, and think intentionally about your future. Together, we'll explore topics such as identity, purpose, values, relationships, lifestyle design, well-being, community, daily routines, fun, adventure, and what you want this season of life to be about.

You'll leave with greater clarity, practical next steps, and a personalized blueprint for building a retirement that's meaningful, fulfilling, and enjoyable.
