RETIREMENT LIFE DESIGN
Create a retirement that’s designed around what matters most to you.
Personalized Retirement Life Design—a guided retirement coaching experience for individuals and couples who want to make the most of the years ahead.
Whether you're preparing for retirement, navigating the transition, or reimagining life after retirement, we'll explore what matters to you and turn your ideas into a personalized blueprint for the life you want to build.
You've spent years preparing financially for retirement.
Now it's time to think about how you want to live it.
Financial preparation is an important part of retirement. But preparing your finances doesn't necessarily prepare you for the changes retirement can bring to your identity, purpose, relationships, routines, and everyday life.
Maybe retirement is approaching, and you're looking forward to more freedom and flexibility. You want to give some thought to how you'll spend your time and what you want this season of life to become.
Perhaps you're financially ready to retire but aren't quite sure you're personally ready. Work has provided structure, purpose, and a familiar rhythm for years, and it's hard to imagine what life will look like without it.
Maybe you've recently retired and are discovering that the transition feels different than you expected. You have the freedom you looked forward to, but you're still figuring out what will make your days satisfying and meaningful.
Or perhaps you've been retired for a while and life is comfortable, but you sense there's more you want to experience. You're ready to explore new possibilities and make the most of the years ahead.
You may find yourself wondering:
Who am I when work is no longer at the center of my identity?
What do I want my days—and my life—to look and feel like?
What do we want retirement to look like as a couple?
How do I make the most of the healthy, active years ahead?
What do I want this chapter of my life to be about?
You don't need to have all the answers.
But these are questions worth exploring.
Retirement Life Design gives you the space to explore these questions and begin shaping what's next.
You don’t need to figure out the next few decades all at once.
You need a place to begin.
Together, we'll step back from the day-to-day and give some thought to the life you want to create.
We'll explore what matters most to you, what you want more—or less—of in the years ahead, where you may be feeling uncertain, and what would make retirement meaningful, engaging, connected, and genuinely enjoyable.
And because retirement is something you live—not simply something you plan—we'll turn those insights into practical decisions and next steps you can begin putting into practice.
Along the way, you'll have opportunities to reflect on what we're discussing, explore new possibilities, experiment with ideas, and discover what works for you.
Together, we'll begin shaping a personalized retirement blueprint that reflects what matters most to you.
RETIREMENT LIFE ARCHITECTURE™
A framework for designing the life you want to build.
Retirement Life Design is guided by my Retirement Life Architecture™ framework.
Just as an architect considers how the different elements of a home work together, this framework helps us explore the areas of life that contribute to a meaningful and enjoyable retirement.
Identity & Purpose • Values & Priorities • Lifestyle Design • Relationships • Community & Belonging • Well-Being • Daily Rhythms • Fun & Adventure • Legacy & Contribution
Depending on your goals, we’ll explore the areas most relevant to you and consider how they work together to support the life you want to create.
Your retirement blueprint: a plan you can build on.
Your blueprint will capture what matters most to you, the possibilities you want to explore, and practical next steps for creating the retirement life you envision.
It's not a rigid plan for the next twenty or thirty years. It's a guide you can return to, adapt, and build on as your life evolves.
Choose the level of support that fits what you're looking for.
Two ways to create your retirement blueprint.
Both experiences are guided by Retirement Life Architecture™ and lead to a personalized retirement blueprint. The difference is the scope of what we'll explore together.

RETIREMENT LIFE DESIGN FOR COUPLES
You're retiring together. But you may not envision retirement exactly the same way.
One of you may picture travel and adventure. The other may be looking forward to more time at home.
One of you may be ready to retire tomorrow. The other may have a harder time imagining life without work.
You may have different ideas about how much time you'll spend together, how you'll structure your days, or what you want retirement to look like.
Different doesn't mean incompatible.
Retirement Life Design gives you space to explore what matters to each of you individually, discover where your priorities align, and work through differences as you envision the life you want to create together.
The goal isn't to create identical visions for retirement. It's to develop a shared blueprint that makes room for what matters to both of you.
You don't have to have retirement all figured out.
Retirement will always involve some trial and error.
Your interests may change. Your priorities may shift. Opportunities you can't anticipate today will appear along the way.
A blueprint isn't about predicting every detail.
It's about knowing what matters, having a clearer sense of where you want to go, and giving yourself something meaningful to build toward.
You worked hard to reach this season of life.
You can be just as thoughtful about how you want to live it.
Retirement Life Design FAQs
Frequently asked questions
-
Not at all. You may have a clear vision for retirement, a few specific questions you'd like to explore, or simply a sense that you want to give more thought to the years ahead.
You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. Clarifying what matters to you, exploring possibilities, and developing a clearer sense of direction are all part of the Retirement Life Design process.
-
You'll complete a Retirement Readiness Assessment that helps us explore different areas of your retirement life, identify what's already working well, and recognize where you may want greater clarity or direction.
I'll review your responses before we meet so we can begin with a better understanding of your priorities, questions, and hopes for retirement.

Retirement Life Design isn't just for people preparing to retire. It's also for those who have already retired and want to make the most of the years ahead.
Whether you're adjusting to a new routine, exploring new interests, looking for greater purpose or connection, or simply ready to rethink how you'd like to spend your time, we'll begin with where you are now and what you'd like to create moving forward.

Financial planning focuses on preparing your finances for retirement. Therapy addresses mental health concerns and emotional difficulties.
Retirement Life Design focuses on the life you want to create in retirement—how you'll spend your time, what gives your life meaning and purpose, the relationships you want to nurture, and the experiences you want to enjoy.
My background as a psychologist informs how I approach this work, but Retirement Life Design is a coaching experience, not psychotherapy or financial advice. It's a forward-looking, collaborative process designed to help you clarify what matters most and create a personalized blueprint for the years ahead.
-
Absolutely. Your retirement blueprint is designed to provide direction while leaving room for your life to evolve.
If you'd like continued support as you put your ideas into practice, explore new possibilities, navigate changes, or revisit your priorities, additional coaching sessions are available after completing either Blueprint.
-
Both experiences use the Retirement Life Architecture™ framework to help you explore what matters most and develop a personalized retirement blueprint.
With Retirement Life Design, we meet over a series of sessions, giving you time between meetings to reflect, experiment with ideas, and begin incorporating what you're discovering into your life.
A Retirement Intensive brings the work together into one or two dedicated days, with preparation beforehand and follow-up afterward.
The primary difference is the pace and format. Both offer a personalized experience, and the right choice depends on your preferences, schedule, and how you'd like to approach the process.
